Lower temps, a little bit of wet ground, led to a positive week for the Cardinal Runners! Everyone that was able to run on Thursday had at least a Season Best time on what turned out to be almost ideal conditions. Then, a lot of rain hit before Saturday's races for the Varsity, and cooler temps, but we still had 9 All Time Personal Records (PR's) and 5 more Season Bests (would've been all of them had it not been for a muddy section on a slant). Congrats to all of the runners on the work they put in this past week and their efforts in their races, but a big shout out to Mason (5th), Brecken (7th) and Ruth (9th) for finishing in the top 10 in the Middle School Race on Thursday, and to Ruby who finished a solid 3rd place overall in the Maroon Division of the Roy Griak on Saturday. Ruby had a great race plan and ran a smart race, moving up throughout the race and even passing two girls in the last 200m to reach the 3rd overall place and to run her 2nd fastest time!! It was a fun couple of days of racing and one we hope to build off of as we move through the season. All results from Thursday's St Francis Invite for the JV and Middle School runners, as well as the Varsity at the 40th annual Roy Griak Invite are now posted on our blog.
We will be going to the Wildcat Invite at Crown College on Thursday. There is a link to the information that Waconia has sent to us, but there are also directions as well as who will be running in which race.
The bus will be leaving at 2:00 Thursday. The meet will get done earlier than when we were at Gail Woods 2 weeks ago, so it should not be as late of a night, plus there will only be 6 teams. However, if you need to bring your runner home after their race, please let me know in advance.

Waconia Invitational: Crown College, 8700 College View Dr, Saint Bonifacius, 55375. Highway 10 east to Hwy 610 and continue to Hwy 169 South. Take 169 South to I94 West and follow to I494 South. Follow on I494 to MN Hwy 7 West and continue to Saint Bonifacius. Take a left onto Main St (CR 92) and continue for about 1.1 miles to the college entrance and take a left on to College View Dr.
