Coon Rapids CC
Information about the CRHS CC Running team (Gr 7-12) is found here. If you are new to our program, check out the information in the pull downs of the blog for more information about who we are. The posts will be about what is currently happening. For those that are considering joining our teams, our summer training is a great place to see what the sport is all about. No cost or full commitment to the team. All we ask is to give it an honest try to see if this is the sport and team for you.

Summer Training - Week of July 27
For this week of our summer training, which is the last that we as coaches can be a part of until the season starts, a bunch of the runners, myself, as well as a few parents, will be spending the first 3 days of the week on the North Shore getting in some training. For the rest of the team, there are will not be a scheduled practice for those three days, but we are still recommending that you get the workouts in that are posted. There will be scheduled practices on Thursday at Bunker, Golf Course Parking Lot 1, at 8:00am and Friday at CRHS at 8:00am. From that point on, until the season starts, the captains will organize practices. Reminder that the season this year starts on Monday, August 17! Please watch for information as we get closer, but also make sure all Physicals are up to date now and that everything is ready to go through the registration process (I have not heard when registration opens, it may actually be open already.).
If there are any questions, please let me know,
Thanks
Denny

Friday Practice Canceled
Even though it appears the air quality is getting better, we are still going to cancel our practice on Friday morning. It should be better to be outside exercising as the morning progresses, so if the runners are comfortable getting out and doing their run, they should be good, but still pay attention to how they are feeling. The later in the morning, the better, however, the temps and feels like are going to still be high.
Any questions, let me know,
Thanks
Denny
