The race portion of our season got under way this morning at Anoka High School on what will be the Section Meet course, as we competed against the other 4 members of the Anoka-Hennepin School District! Lachlan got things off to a positive start for the Cardinals as he was the highest placer for both the Boys and the Girls with a solid 3rd place overall out of 114 boys racing!! Ruby was the top Girl for the Cards with an equally solid placing of 4th out of 71 girls racing!! Other top finishers for the Boys, who were 5th out of the 5 teams, went to Owen in 17th, Marco in 21st, and Kjell in 23rd. For the Girls, who finished in 4th of 5 teams, other top finishers were Lily in 21st, Kendall in 22nd, Emmy in 27th, Mackenzie in 28th and Emily in 29th. There were also 9 total PR's (Personal Records) of the 34 Cardinal Runners today!
Next up is the Bauman/Rovn Invite at Gail Woods near Minnetrista on Thursday, Sep. 5th (more details next week). Also, a reminder that practice tomorrow, Friday, August 30th, is at 8:00am at CRHS, and that our practice on Monday, September 2nd will be at 6:30pm at CRHS.
