Below is the info for this weeks Hutchinson Invite. I know this is a bit of a drive, but we decided to do a meet that was a little less stressful, still competitive, and also where our Girls team would be participating. But, all support will be great. Our team program should be completed by this meet, so you will not be able to put a name to a face for those that you may not know.
We will be leaving earlier than what is stated on the schedule. We are going to leave at 1:00, which is when the girls are leaving, so we have enough time to get out there and check out the course. Race times are as follows:
JV - 4:30
Varsity - 5:20
Our two middle school runners will be running with the JV team this meet so they are able to get an early season 5K race.
Directions to the meet:
Hutchinson
Invite (Lake Marion County Park): 11655 State Hwy 15, Brownton, MN 55312. Go East on US Hwy 10 to West Hwy 610.
Continue on Hwy 610 to US Hwy 169 and go south to I94/694 West. Merge onto I494 South and continue to State
Hwy 7. Go West on State Hwy 7 to
Hutchinson and take a left onto State Hwy 15 (Main Street), and proceed South
on Hwy 7 for about 8 miles and the park entrance will be on the right.
Finally, on Wednesday, September 24th, the Boys CC team will be hosting the 2nd Annual Cardinal Mile to be held prior to the Homecoming Parade, which starts at 6:00pm. This is a promotional event for us, but also a fundraiser as well. I will be sending out more information about it as we get closer, but want to let everyone know now, and to also note that we will be needing help to make this event work. We are going to need at least 12 people to help volunteer with registration, course management and finish area. If you would like to help, please let me know. Also, if you have any ideas to help us make this a better event, let me know as well.
