Apple Valley/Week Ahead

Apple Valley
The Eagle Invite at Apple Valley wasn't quite the meet the team was hoping for, but it was one in which to learn from and to motivate those that struggled and for the team to come together.  The Varsity finished 12th out of 22 teams, led by Jackson B in 16th and David D in 28th.  The JV team was dealing with the absence of a few and illness in a couple of others, but held their own and finished in 13th out 24 teams, with Emmett H having another solid race finishing 27th out of 455 runners.  Paul B continues to have a solid first year as he was the top Cardinal finisher of the day, finishing in 2nd in the 9th Grade and Under race to help the team finish in 9th out of 16 teams.

Next Up:
Mustang Invite on Friday, Sep. 28th at Chippewa Middle School in North Oaks: 5000 Hodgson Road, North Oaks, 55126, which will be for our JV boys that are not racing on Saturday.  We will have boys in both the Gold and Green race, but need to talk to the Middle School boys to see if they are wanting to run a 5K or the JH/MS race.
Meet times and info on parking are at the bottom of this Post.
Also, the Griak Invite is on Saturday, Sep. 29th at the Les Bolstad Golf Course on the campus of the U of M.  The Varsity will be racing at 2:00, and will be wearing our Black Uniforms for this race. There is a cost to enter:

Sophomore & Under

Good Morning,
It was an overall positive day for the Sophomore's and Under.  In the 7th and 8th grade meet, all four of our boys finished in the top 14, with Paul B coming in 2nd, Joe T coming in 4th, Cole J in 8th and Joe C in 14th.  On the 9th and 10th grade side, Kyle M finished in a solid 4th place and Nathan M finished in 10th to help the boys as the top 4 all PR'd at the 2 mile distant.  Also, there were boys and girls that were running for Coon Rapids Middle School and Northdale Middle School that may be running for the High School in the next couple of years.  Congrats on their performances as well!!

Next Up
The Pasta Party tomorrow will be at Micah J's house and will start earlier because of the Homecoming Football Run.  Micah will have directions, but the start time will be between 3:00-3:15 so the middle school boys can get there but also so we are able to be done and back at the school before 5:00.  The bus for the Homecoming Run will leave at 5:00 and head to Champlin, and we will then run the 6.5 miles back.  Once we are back, the boys will have a chance to go change, but then will get free admission to the football game if they want to go.

On Saturday, we have the Apple Valley Eagle Invite.  The bus will be leaving at 8:00am from the front of the school.  The meet is at Apple Valley High School, and there is to be a lot of individuals running (around 1500 total for all 6 races), so make sure to give yourself time to get there.  Directions to the High School are in the Parent Handbook, but here is the address if you want: 14450 Hayes Road, Apple Valley, 55124.  The race schedule is as follows:
Boys JV - 10:25
Boys Varsity - 11:35
Boys Ninth and Under - 12:05

Also, so you are aware of this before your sons race, we will be wearing white uniform tops in all three races.  Just something that we like to do once in a while, wear different uniforms.  So look for white, not red, and it is possible that it might be easier to spot them amongst all the other uniform colors!!

The awards are to be at 12:45, so we are hoping to be back at the school by 2:00.  If there are any questions, please let me know,
Thanks
Denny
