Section Results

Congratulations to Paul Breitbach as he qualified for the State Meet for the 3rd time, as he was the top runner for the Cardinals tonight! Paul finished in 8th place in a very tight race with the top 8 of the Boys race and will be competing next Saturday, Nov. 4th at the State Meet at St. Olaf College in Northfield.
Both teams had their best overall race on the season, from #1 to our last runner in on the JV teams, with 37 all-time Personal Records and 3 more getting Seasonal Personal Records of the 46 individuals that competed tonight! There was some tough weather conditions with the wind picking up and the temperature dropping as the afternoon went on, but the runners showed resolve, competed, and there was nothing we as coaches could have asked more of them! It's a very big positive to end the season and with how young the team is, it could be big step as we build towards next year!
All of our individual results are on the right side of the Blog Page, with the overall meet results being posted on Mtec Results under Section 5AA.
Great Job everyone, we as coaches are proud of everyone of you on your effort and the improvements that you all showed this season!
Thanks to all of the parents and fans that came out and supported the runners!

JK 5K Times

The times from this mornings JK 5K are now posted on the right side of the blog. Please note that this was a workout and were wanting to the runners to focus on a couple of different aspects, thus their times are not really conducive with what they can run a 5K at this time. It was also a chance for them to all get on the course one more time before next weeks Section Meet.
Thanks for those that did come out and support the runners!>

Haunted Hayride

We are going to still plan for the Haunted Hayride tonight, Saturday. There looks like there could be some light rain, but nothing heavy. If you are not wanting to go due to the chance or rain, that is not a problem. But, if you are still intending to go, please dress appropriately, warmer clothes and some sort of rain jacket would be helpful.
Lastly, please remember to bring $25 in cash so we are able to get paid and in the door sooner once we get there.
Any question, let me know,
Thanks,
Denny

NWSC Results

Congratulations to Paul Breitbach as he has become the first Boy in school history to earn 4 All Conference honors, as he was able to finish in 6th place to lead the runners at the Northwest Suburban Conference Meet.  The Boys were able to also get 3 Honorable Mentions today, with Nick Jorgenson, Noah Christiansen, and Reed Smith each earning their first Honors at the Conference Meet, and the boys finished in 7th in a very competitive team race.
The Girls were led by Honorable Mention honoree Sarah Eichstadt, her first Honor in the Conference Meet, and the Girls were able to finish in 10th out of 14 teams, not too far out of the top 6.
The JV teams competed very well and were not swayed by their youth and inexperience. As they continue to grow over the next couple of years, they will move up the standings.
There were also 13 Season or All-Time Personal Records today on a challenging course, with many others running PR's for the course.
Still work needs to be done and we will be hoping to have a solid week of training next week.
Our individual results are posted on the right side of the blog, and you can find the overall meet results by clicking onto the Gopher State Events link at the top of the blog.
If there are any questions, please let me know,
Thanks

NWSC Meet Parking

Just a forewarning for Parking today at the Conference Meet, most people will be able to park on the driving range that is north of the main lots, but some may have to park on the street that will be a little bit of a walk.  This is a busy road, so if you do end up parking on a neighborhood street, beware trying to cross to get to the course.
If there are any questions, please let me know,
Thanks

T R E Results

A very big Positive evening for the runners as they competed in the Thundering Royal Elk Invite.  18 of the 21 Girls that ran were able to have a season or an all time personal best as the Varsity finished in 9th of 17 teams.  The Boys, led by the 2nd place finish of Paul Breitbach and 27 of 28 runners having season or all time bests, were able to finish in a solid 3rd out of 18 teams.  There was a lot of positive energy in the runners and it is a great step as we move into the big races, with the Conference Meet next Thursday.  The JV teams continued to grow and were able to have one of their best team places, with the girls finishing in 6th out of 14 schools and the boys 6th of 17 teams!

Overall meet results can be found at raceberryjam.com and our individual results are on the right side of the blog.

Thanks for all of those that were able to watch and support tonight!

Any questions, please let me know,
Thanks

Thundering Royal Elk Invite

Below is a link to Thursday's meet, the Thundering Royal Elk at Fox Hollow Golf Course.  There is a link within the document that will also have directions to the meet.  There really is two ways to get there though, one west on Hwy 10 to Hwy 101, or you can go Hwy 610 west to I 94 west.  With both, you will need to exit at County Road 36 (45th St NE).  If you are wondering on the name of this meet, it is a combination of the mascots of the 3 Elk River School District High Schools, Zimmerman (Thunder), Rogers (Royals), Elk River (Elks).  That might be a challenge for the 5 Anoka-Hennepin Schools to have a name that would possibly work! Haha

Thundering Royal Elk Info

I will get the roster up later tonight.  Working on a few of the runners, particularly the middle school, to see if they want to run 5K or the middle school race.

Any questions, please let me know,
Thanks

Willmar Invite Results

Our team results for Satuday's Willmar Invite are now posted on the side of the blog, and you are able to find the overall meet results by clicking on Gopher State Events at the top of the blog.

Challenging day for our runners, having to run on an unfamiliar course that was challenging, and against even more challenging teams, with some of the best teams in the State being at the meet. But, despite that, the teams competed well, especially the JV and Middle School teams for both the boys and girls, and that showed with some season/all-time bests in their respective races.  Things could have been better though, and we will see if we can bring things back around for our next meet.

We are on a sort of short week with our next meet being on Thursday, the Thundering Royal Elk.  I'll get the meet information out on Monday or Tuesday.

If there are any questions, please let me know,
Thanks
