Cardinal Mile Letter

Below is an email that was sent to me on Friday evening and felt it should be forwarded onto everyone.  This is basically what I was hoping for this event, even if it may just be one individual/family.
Thanks
Denny

"Our family just wanted to drop you a quick note to say thank you for hosting the Cardinal Mile.  It's hard to explain how much this event meant to our son, Peyton.  Giving the children a chance to run with your cross country runners was a great idea.

Our son was paired with Nathan.  We were very impressed with how encouraging Nathan was with Peyton.  It was such a neat sight to see Peyton running to the finish with several of your cross country runners surrounding him and encouraging him to finish strong.  After the race, several of your runners came over and told Peyton that he should run cross country when he gets old enough.  Whether they meant it or not it made him feel so good.  He's been talking about the race, Nathan, and the other guys on the team ever since.  Your team made a lasting impression on our son.  I think the character of the members of your team really shined that night.  You should be very proud of your team.

Thank you for hosting this event.  We hope that we'll be able to run in it again next year."

Rob, Shelly, and Peyton
