District 11 Results

Our Individual Results, with a link to the Overall Results, are now posted on the right side of the blog. To switch between the Girls and Boys results on the Overall Results link, you will need to look on the upper right side of the page.

Both teams finished 5th out of 5 teams, but we came into the meet with the idea of seeing where we are at and to get times for everyone.  We are very young and experienced, so we are not going to base a ton on team placing, but look more at the improvements that the individuals are getting.  And with that, there was much improvement and already a handful of PR's (Personal Records) from the returning runners, thus showing the work they have put in and what could be possible as the season progresses.  The other nice piece that we saw today was the effort put forth by all of the first year runners.  With it being their first real race with us, they showed a lot of hard work and pushed all the way to the end.  It will be fun to see what they will be capable of through the rest of the season and if they can finish ahead of where last years rookies got to by the end of he season!!

Thank to all of the parents that did make it out.  It was a very comfortable weather day, which was much relief and one less thing that could have an effect on the runners, thus made spectating more enjoyable as well.  The next meet will be on Friday, Sep 10 at the Cambridge Invite at Isanti Middle School.  I'll put directions up for that over the weekend.

Last thing to remember is that Monday's practice will be at 6:30pm at Moor Park (Moor Park (10921  Magnolia St) (best way would be to go off of Northdale Blvd to Olive St, go south to 112th Ave and go east and it will enter the park lot.). Then, starting Tuesday we will be at 3:15 every day, meeting on the west end of the tennis courts across the street from the high school.

Thanks
Denny
